Why Bluearth ...and why this site?

Welcome to the Bluearth website.

This site exists for three main reasons.

- The first is to provide a repository for publications and research material from my dissertation and early academic work.

[If you are not interested in design research, research methodologies and phenomenology

as they relate to sustainability now might be a good time to move on]

- The second reason for the website is that it provides a vehicle for future projects which I have not even envisioned yet.

I am an early career academic and design researcher so my horizon is full of vague possibilities, wild ideas

and exciting projects (so watch this space).

- Thirdly, the title of the website pays homage to the fragile little blue planet on which we all exist.

The philosophy which underscores all that is presented in this site comes from my conviction that humans are caretakers

on the blue planet and are morally bound to do whatever we can to preserve it and thus our own existence (how stupid is it not to?)

 This website represents the small bit that I can do and hopefully will help others with their bit
